Dr. Barry Logan is the Sr. Vice President of Forensic Science Initiatives and Chief Scientist at NMS Labs. Dr. Logan is part of the executive leadership at NMS Labs in Willow Grove PA, where his responsibilities include management of toxicology resources and new test design and development. He is a Fellow of the American Board of Forensic Toxicologists and has over 120 publications in toxicology and analytical chemistry, including work on the effects of drugs and driving impairment. His recent work has focused on the analytical and interpretive toxicology of emerging recreational and designer drugs including synthetic opioids and cannabinoids. Dr Logan’s other appointments include Executive Director of the Robert F Borkenstein course at Indiana University, and Executive Director at the Center for Forensic Science Research and Education at the Fredric Rieders Family Foundation in suburban Philadelphia.
