Carl Chasteen - Chief of Forensic Services for the Florida Division of Forensic Services forensic laboratory, the Bureau of Forensic Services. He has managed that laboratory since 1992. Prior to that he worked for 12 years as a forensic chemist with the State of Ohio, Division of State Fire Marshal, and Bureau of Arson Crime Laboratory. There, he analyzed over 12,000 fire debris, explosives, and hazardous materials samples. Since joining the Florida laboratory he has additionally analyzed over 2000 more samples and reviewed over 80,000 samples examined by the analysts under him. He has been accepted as an expert witness in state (OH & FL), federal (OH, FL, PA), and foreign (Cayman Islands) courts. He is a Certified Public Manager and Certified Technical Assessor (ASCLD/LAB-International). He is also a Fellow of the American Board of Criminalistics with a specialty of Fire Debris Analysis.
